Readstride Privacy Policy

Data stays on your device

Readstride works offline. The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal or sensitive user data. It has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, purchases, or developer-operated server. It does not request internet access or access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.

Information stored locally

The app stores your reading positions, reading pace, workout results, comprehension scores, and appearance preferences in its private storage on your device. This information is used to resume reading, show your progress, and apply your settings. The developer cannot access it through the app.

Retention and deletion

Local information remains until you clear Readstride's storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. These actions delete your progress and preferences. Readstride disables Android app backup and device transfer of its local data. There is no online account or server copy to delete or recover.

Store, website, and support

Google Play and Android may process information under their own policies when you install or use your device's services. This is separate from information collected by Readstride, which collects none. If you visit our public privacy page, its hosting provider processes ordinary web requests under its own privacy policy. The Android app does not contact that website automatically.

If you contact support, the information you choose to send is used to respond to your request. Please do not send passwords or sensitive personal information. Support correspondence is separate from the offline app.

Audience and changes

Readstride is intended for adults and is not directed at children. Any future change to the app's data practices will be described in an updated policy before it takes effect. This version contains no ads or subscriptions.
