Effective September 25, 2026 · Android version 1.0.0
A personal visual notebook: name saved objects, add notes and reference photos, and compare a query photo against your saved set on your device.
On-device matching
Omnet Find Mine is a personal visual notebook. Names, optional notes, imported reference photos, and derived visual descriptors are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. Image comparison runs locally using a bundled MediaPipe Image Embedder. Photos and notes are not sent to Omnet or Google for matching. This release does not have Android’s INTERNET or ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions.
Data the app handles
The app handles: names you assign to saved objects; optional notes; one to three reference photos per object (stored as private local copies of images you import); visual descriptors computed from those reference photos; and a temporary query photo you select when searching for a match.
How matching works
When you pick a query photo, the app computes a visual descriptor locally and ranks up to three candidates from your saved objects. You review the suggestions and choose one, or select none-of-these. The app does not guarantee exact-instance identification; results are visual similarity suggestions only and require your judgment.
Storage and retention
Reference image copies, names, notes, and descriptors remain in private app storage until you delete an individual saved object or use delete all. Query photos are copied temporarily and the app deletes those working copies after search. Your original photos in the gallery or other apps are not modified by Omnet Find Mine.
Matching-library diagnostics
The bundled MediaPipe matching library can record internal technical diagnostics, including the app package and version, task type and mode, usage counts, and timing. These metrics can be stored in a local diagnostic queue. Direct network uploads are blocked in this release because the app has no internet permission. This logging is separate from the photos and notes used for matching. The app’s Delete all action clears your notebook; it does not clear this diagnostic queue. Clearing Android app storage or uninstalling removes app-local data, including this queue.
Accounts, ads, and purchases
This release has no account sign-in, no ads, and no in-app purchases.
Backup
Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled for this release.
Store, website, and support
Google Play, Android, and other platform services may process information under their own policies when the app is distributed or run on your device. That processing is separate from the local data handling described above. If you visit our public website or privacy pages, their hosting provider processes ordinary web requests under its own privacy policy; the app does not contact those pages automatically.
If you contact support, the only information used to respond is what you send to support@omnetsystems.com. Please do not send passwords or sensitive personal information.
